Dear Families,
Welcome to First Grade!  We are excited to be working with your child and look forward to a year of academic growth, new friendships, and exciting experiences! In Kindergarten through Second Grade we are introducing the new language arts program, Superkids! Also, this year marks the second year of the My Math program.  Both series are in alignment to the New York State Common Core Learning Standards (CCLS). We have included the names of Apps that are free and support the CCLS.  We hope that you will find this information helpful as you work with your child at home.  We encourage you to explore your child's school webpage as well.  Finally, if you have any questions about supporting your child's learning at home, please contact us.  When parents and teachers build a partnership that focuses on a child's development, amazing learning happens!
Sincerely,
First Grade Teachers
